ITIL® (Version 5), launched by PeopleCert in February 2026, is the current edition of ITIL. It broadens IT service management into digital product and service management: how organizations discover, design, build, run and improve the digital products and services their customers and employees rely on. It keeps what worked in ITIL 4 (the seven guiding principles, the four dimensions, value streams and continual improvement) and adds the eight-activity ITIL Product and Service Lifecycle, a stronger focus on experience, value stream mapping, and guidance on using and governing artificial intelligence.
This program explains every syllabus area with real examples from IT operations, service desks and digital teams, then prepares you for the ITIL Foundation (Version 5) exam: 40 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, closed book, with a pass mark of 65% (26 correct answers). The syllabus weights key terms and definitions (30%) and the ITIL Value System (40%) most heavily, so the course spends most of its time there.
